Blephex

BlephEx is a tried and tested blepharitis treatment that has been around a long time now. It utilises a pen sized device with a fast-rotating medical grade sponge which is soaked in eyelid cleaner and then run along the eyelashed and eyelid marging.

This gently (it tickles!) removes bacteria build up, exofliates the skin and unblocked meibomian glands along the lid margin.

The result is clean lids, reduced inflammation, and improved dry eye symptoms, all in 15-20 minutes. The treatment can be repeated as often as needed, but with good maintenance of your condition at home, often repeats are only necessary yearly (if at all).

Left untreated, Blepharitis can go on to cause secondary problems, such as chalazion (stye), meibomian gland disease, dry eyes, and anatomical eyelid changes such as droopy or inward turning eyelids.

BlephEx may be recommended as a standalone treatment, or to improve the efficacy of following treatments, such as EyeLight or BlephaSteam.
