Zest is a newer treatment to the market for the treatment of Blepharitis, Meibomian gland disease and Demodex infestation. It utilises special gels derived from the vegetable okra, which is manually applied by one of our trained clinicians and gently scrubbed in to the lids and lashes to remove bacteria, open glands, reduce inflammation and kill demodex. This treatment is especially good for eyelids that are red, inflammed or swollen.

 

The result is clean lids, reduced inflammation, and improved dry eye symptoms, all in 15-20 minutes. The treatment can be repeated as often as needed, but with good maintenance of your condition at home, often repeats are only necessary yearly (if at all).
